About TMU-TSU Joint Symposium 2016

TMU-TSU Joint Symposium 2016 will be held at the International House in Tokyo Metropolitan University, Tokyo, Japan for the period of 16-17 May 2016.

The symposium theme is set as “Human Environmental Sciences” with the focus on “Urban Sociology and Urban Planning” and “Bio-Climate-Land Interaction.”

Tokyo Metropolitan University (“TMU”) and Tomsk State University (“TSU”) of Russia concluded the Agreement in June, 2015, with the aim of promoting academic cooperation and exchanges of academic staff and students. In this joint symposium, we will present research work and achievements made by researchers of both universities in the common fields TMU and TSU share as well as on the challenges and issues that Tokyo and Tomsk state face. During the symposium we will also discuss the future prospects on the possible collaborations between two universities and seek to expand the partnership and contribute to our local communities of each and the broader community.

We welcome any and all who are interested in the above mentioned focused areas of research as well as in learning about TMU and TSU. Looking forward to meeting you at Tokyo Metropolitan University!
